Aquatite is the New Zealand company behind the patented Wetwall Caddy, developed to protect wet area wall cavities from water entering through tapware penetrations. Around 20 years after the product was first developed, more than 30,000 caddies have been supplied, protecting approximately 10,000 New Zealand homes.
From a simple idea to a proven New Zealand shower waterproofing system
Over the past 20 years, Wetwall Caddy has evolved from a simple solution for sealing plumbing penetrations into an established wet area protection system used in homes and projects across New Zealand.
More than 30,000 caddies have now been supplied, helping protect approximately 10,000 New Zealand homes. Standard Wetwall Caddies are injection moulded in Auckland, while custom units are 3D printed to order in Wellington for tapware and layouts that fall outside the standard range.
The product has continued to evolve alongside changing tapware, building practices and wet area requirements. Today, Aquatite supplies homeowners, builders, plumbers and specifiers nationwide, with products available through major plumbing and building merchants as well as directly online.
That ongoing development remains central to Aquatite. Whether it is refining the standard range, creating custom solutions or improving technical resources and installation guidance, the focus is still the same as it was at the beginning, protecting wall cavities by properly sealing the penetrations that can otherwise allow hidden water damage to begin.
